WOW! What a beautiful piece of jewelry. I would never be able to do something like that.

I used to think that myself when I saw such large pieces created by other artists.  Over time I taught myself various techniques, and then one day I realized I was doing the very thing I thought I couldn't do...

Thanks.   :icon_sunny:
It took some time to do, and half the time was spent just on the mask focal and the beadwork surrounding it.

SEVENTY TWO HOURS. Holly molly that is a bunch of hours but looking at the piece I could see me not finishing it for ........ eternity maybe. But I am one of the "instantly is not fast enough" crowd but I will admit I have taken that long or longer to do a carving which would take a Chinese carver one day to do. But carving does not require matching colors, size of beads, how many beads to get from here to there and probably a dozen other things.

I will leave it to you Amanda.

No problem Jim!
I've been told I have infinite patience.  Maybe that's why I can make it through creating one of these pieces.

Would you ever consider doing a tutorial on how to do a (much simpler) version of something like this? I am mightily impressed. This is simply stunning work.

The Facebook page for this forum has a tutorial I posted several months ago showing how to do a peyote stitch bezel around a cabochon.  That is probably the best place to start.
Thank you! I will check it out.

Stunned, Arizona Moonrise is my fav.  Crazy amount of work in those.  There is not enough I can say about the pieces, simply amazing.
