Post by: Phishisgroovin on July 10, 2016, 06:19:16 PM
So, over the weekend the gold mining club i belong to had an event on out naches wa mining claim.

We had bean bag toss into a gold pan with three holes in it, throw 6 bean bags, most in the bucket through the holes wins.
I missed all of them lol!

So, we take a lunch break, then do the speed panning.

Five chunks of lead flattened sortof thrown into some dirt inside a gold pan, fastest time wins.

Had kids category, mens and womens.
I came in second on the mens, 15.09 seconds.
alot of fun competing in the games we have on potluck days, food is always awesome too.

I chose the Keene A52 sluice, going to alter it into a 2-1/2" power sluice! :blob1: :blob1: :WEEEE: :WEEEE: :LOLOL: :LOLOL:

Also, while we were having the adult bean bag throw. i had to be a smart ass to my Aunt colleen to keep things going normal lol!
So she stops the event abruptly, reaches into her pocket and says. EVERYONE< NOW LISTEN UP!!
I have something for my Smart ass Nephew!
Then presents me with my Assh*le merit badge lol!

Dont want that one, these old farts are my friends and family.
causing one of them to have a stoke or heart attack isnt worth getting the Eagle A-hole merit badge lol!

Hello, I'm trying to get my father to go out with me and the kids to do some gold panning in Maine. I have never done his before and I was wondering if there was a good starter set of pans to start with? I don't think we will find anything but might be fun for a day. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Mike
