Robin, it's been a while and I honestly can't remember in detail how I neutralized it.  My wife worked for an environmental analysis company along with lots of chemists and I think one of them gave me disposal tips.  It was using bicarbonate of soda in a water solution if IIRC.  As always, add acid to the water, not the other way around!

Good reminder, Rick, about adding the acid to the water. It's the simple things that are easiest to forget. Thanks.
