Awesome or leaverite?

Please help me with this rock. It is somewhat translucent and banded like agate, but not smooth. From bc interior. Does anyone have any ideas? Tia.

Looks more like a travertine /Onyx to me. The material appears to look very rough like calcite or a travertine / Onyx type of surface where an agate wouldn't be nearly so rough.  Both those materials would also look somewhat translucent.  A simple hardness test will give you a clue or simple taking a wing of an edge.  If the break shows any flat shiny surfaces then not Agate as Agate does not have that type of cleavage plane.

 The layering makes it look like travertine as does the disrupted nature of other layering.
