Malachite boulder (Commissioned polish piece)
« on: March 23, 2015, 08:43:58 AM »

This weekend I finished up a commissioned polish piece... an 80 kg (176 pound) Malachite boulder that I imported from the Congo. Unfortunately, I don't have very good "after" pictures because it was late enough in the day that the sun was nearing the horizon, which means really bad shadows. Hopefully you'll be able to get the idea though...

I'm going to try to go back to my customer's house and see if he will let me get some more pictures of it in better lighting.

Thanks for looking!

We get the idea and can see the great patterns.  I'm sure you had colorful hands after that job.

Looks gorgeous both polished and unpolished.   :icon_sunny:
Had it been mine I would not have polished it simply because even in polishing one loses material off the piece.
