So, i ran the tumbler for three or four days. maybe 5.
Wife said Randy go outside and check the tumbler. its making a horrible noise.
The lid came open, media all over table, mud all over table, clay like goo all over table.

Scooped all the goo back up since the coarse media was in it, put it back in, put water in it.
Turned tumbler on, the rollers need new bushings now. somehow need to get traction on the drum as it slips horribly now.
I guess i will try and locate new roller bushings somewhere.
I can probably get new rollers also.

Kind of a bummer i didnt even get to finish one batch.

I'm glad to hear you finally got it going. That was probably an awesome feeling after such a long time.

Someone on here who tumbles will probably have the best answer for traction. I picked up a small piece of sheet rubber (not "foam") in an auction lot once. Something like that might would work if glued/epoxied around each end of the barrel.

What I found was 1/4" thick, and durable as hell. I don't know what it's original purpose was. It was a weird orange color. Maybe it was an underlayment for some kind of flooring... .

i found a website that sells all the new parts for the rollers and bushings. ill be getting new stuff after holidays.
Grip tape would work, but i want new rollers and bushings. Motor also, i want a larger motor actually with more torque.
Its a 12lb machine.

I also have to make a cover or housing for it or a place in the shed to place it and let it run, away from the house. Its loud as heck!

Sucks not having a garage or covered work space.

i think, had i kept the machine running it would have iced up. burned up motor & rollers lol
