My wife got me bag of agate pebbles as a gift. This one gave me some hassle. I wish I'd photographed it before I started - one size was a bubbly orange mass and the other a jagged pile of red. It was a lot harder than the other stones which wasn't a problem it just took time but three times on the final polish the top of the dome flaked off forcing me all the way back to 400  grit.
Ended up doing 120,400,1000,3000 then 2 and 1 micron cerium oxide - probably more than necessary but I enjoy the process. It's about 5cm on the longest axis.

The stone that you worked may have been difficult but the finished product is superb in both color and shape. Excellent cab!
