« on: December 28, 2017, 09:46:09 AM »

so, i purchase a new 6 inch blade for my trim saw on Ebay.
Click the link in the drop down menu for CLOSEST to me.
Found one in Seattle.

Now they give me tracking, its coming from Minnesota!!
Buy local to get faster, still get hosed. :Bash:

i got this one
https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Inch-Diamond-Segment-Saw-Blade-Granite-Concrete-Tile-Stone-Construction-sander/232192242311?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2648

low cost, it should cut my small cobbles fairly well. not too positive about the notches. never used a notched blade.

It never seems to matter about local anyway.  I ordered 5 6" blades from Johnson Brothers and paid for expedited shipping.  Realize they are only about an hour or 2 from my house and it took a month to get the blades thanks to who and not where you order from.  They still charged me the expedited shipping after all that.

Many if not most items from the average dealer are drop shipped, they never touch the item.

If I don't need an item right away I sometimes buy from Amazon with free shipping. I have an order now that was placed Dec. 23 and it still hasn't even shipped. Also sometimes the vendors on Amazon don't even have the product in stock but won't disclose this on their seller item page. This happened to me last year and after waiting 2 weeks I cancelled the order and got the same item on eBay shipped in like 4 days.

For lapidary stuff I almost always use eBay and for blades lately BUTW.

You can also get OK blades from China but expect to wait at least a month for delivery.

I apologize for being off topic, but I am still "out to lunch" on the Cabston Diamond Wheels from Lithuania.  Anyone ever use them?  I am trying out a regular, (not the REZ) soft 280 wheel.  I want to complain about it because it's so ugly after "de-Scratching" and "de Flat's" but I really have no reason to complain, yet.   All of us stone polishers have limited resources, so I am throwing this out for opinions from you ladies and gentlemen?
