cabochons and gem stone sell off
« on: February 09, 2019, 11:38:40 AM »

For those of you in the Portland, Oregon area...  I will be selling off my private collection as well as my hand made cabochons. Getting old, kids have all they want to wear.
gem stones: 1,000's of faceted pieces,  I have a lot of high end material including some Rubies. Lots of Peridot, many specialty cuts, tons of Chrome Diopside as I love it. Just trying to sell this stuff for close to wholesale prices, not the JTV crap or overseas type with 10 facets, this is quality material. I do have bags of the JTV type stones from purchases at Tucson and other places. Make me an offer if you want some. I use to sell at shows and it was a good money maker. Now it is time to cut it loose.
Hundreds of hand made cabochons. Look at my website, blueowyheegems@aol.com or Etsy, Blueowyheegems is shop name. These are not the sale pieces but I will take offers. I am adding more cabs every week as I have time. Want some really great large Russian Dendritic cabs, Montana Agate or Indonesian Fossil Coral????  I have boxes of these put away starting at $10 each. These are not the crap pieces cut overseas but look like the high quality pieces on my Etsy store. Volume prices.
Also from Tucson, cards of the 3 mm Turquoise, Lapis and other cabochons made in the 1960's.....  cheap but beautiful. I will try and post a few pictures soon.

If you are just bored,,,,,,    please ask for pictures or prices if you are looking to buy.

I am not trying to compete with $5 cabochons. Sure, there may be a few ell cut $5 cabs out there. Most of what I have bought from the overseas vendors are full of flat spots and scratches. They look good in the pictures with the oil on them.....   The cabs I am selling are well polished and hand cut.

I will also be selling off tons of rough if you are in the area. I do not take pictures of rough at a buck or two a pound......   unless I am dumping it on e-bay. But I do have a good selection of cheap and good rough if you are in the area. Also over 10,000 slabs, most really nice material.

Drop me a line if you are serious and I will send you my phone #.

hope to see you, Neal

more pics,  probably Cherry Creek Jasper. Also large Russian Dendritic agate cabochon.  These are well cut and polished. Not collector grade but very good quality. No flat spots or scratches.

Nice looking stuff Neal, I may call you about some of the rough when the weather flattens out a bit.
Best regards,

It makes me want to drive to Portland, but being in the midst of a move of residence and rock collection takes priority.

I would also be interested (rough + slabs mostly), but it will have to wait until I move to the Olympia area (hopefully sometime this year) before I can do anything.
But I am also looking at your turquoise and lapis images--[would you ship slabs and cabs??]
