From time to time a Member simply "Vanishes" from the forum and no one seems to know how to get a hold of them to verify they are OK.
We have started a thread in a private section of the forum that is only visible to Moderators and Admins to collect contact information for folks who wish us to check in on them should they suddenly not show up for long periods of time.
On the old forum there were a few cases where Members died and no one knew for a period of time what had happened. I'm trying to make sure this doesn't happen again.
So, if you are so inclined to share your contact information so we can locate and check on you in such a situation, feel free to PM any active admin or mod with your information and we will put it in a place where the admins and mods can access it if we feel the need to reach out.
This kind of database helps in issues of member illness, death, or natural disasters.
We just want to know you are OK.
Your information will remain private and will NOT be given out to anyone other than the aforementioned admins or mods.
This is completely voluntary.
If you do wish to share this information with us the following is what we need to know:
Forum name
Real Name
Physical Address/Mailing address
Phone number and/or cell phone number
Email address(es)
And any other person you authorize for us to contact - a son/daughter, wife etc and their phone numbers.
