2nd Rock hunting partner Galaixe 500
« on: November 08, 2019, 09:29:35 PM »

Never wrenched on 1965 Ford Galaixe. 289 Ci. 3 speed.  Now the GT-390 has a home.

The Ranchero was a-bit bleep-en rusted beyond, And it was to small for 14-Ds to drive.

Felt like i was in my old Mach-1...them old days i was 200 Lbs. now a few more Oz. added.

twice in 3 weeks to find two cars in this condition.

C-6 trans. friend well trade for Borg Warner T-10.  ( the 289 motor on 3 Speed / both are 1965 ) both matching numbers.

It will run stronger if you take the cloth out of the air intake.  Have fun with the beast.

Cool. I have an affection for the old fords. In my young days I had a 1959 with a 1965 352 police interceptor
Engine in it. It was pretty fast for it day.

Liked when you could do the work under the hood yourself and save money. Didn't have to take half the car apart. Front wheel drive has it's advantages, I guess. Hate a.b.s. brakes, they take away your control. Dangerous.
