That color and finish are really top shelf.  I need to ask, what are you using a vacuum box for?  Is it to immerse sphere and impregnate with stabilizer?

Yes I remove the mineral oil then submerse in resin, as the air is removed the resin replaces the air, then I cook it at 200 degrees for 4 hours, jhon and I aren't experimenting and trading ideas, jhon was a little braver than I and tried a expensive rock we both purchased I was a chicken and used the Lake Bonneville as my first attempt, now I've finished three I can see some real potential and I'm going to try some of the nicer rocks I have as needed.

We have been experimenting with different epoxies and resins. I haven’t tried opticon yet. I may have to order some.  Some rocks we get better results than others. I have the Nevada miss agate in the machine now and some of the pores are coming through. It will only pentitrate where you can vacuum the air out
