Every now and then you have one of those days where a good dose of bead therapy is in order.
Working on these earrings right now between loads of laundry and doing the dishes.
Listening to Enya.

You have introduced me to the benefits of bead therapy. I even find re-doing the project 40 times until I finally get a bead combo I like therapeutic.
-
Exactly!
Sometimes you need to stop and smell the beads! Or is that the smell of the coffee I'm drinking while beading? :coffee2:
OK so Friday (24th) Gina we have a choice - more bead therapy at my house, or go bead shopping. What do you want to do?

I would go mad trying to work with a bazzillion little thingies with holes in them. I don't even make ear rings because the stones have to be so small. Ya'll are insane or something.
How many beads can the bead woman bead if the beads are the size of a bean. Thunk up by Jim Brown and you can quote me on that. Ok Ok I know it ain't THAT good.

Jim there is a reason why my Title is "Insane bead woman." And truthfully if you want to take a gander at more artists who might be equally as insane or more so working with things with small holes, check out this pinterest page I have:

However if it were not for beads, I have a good feeling I'd be in an institution. Beads were the only thing that kept me sane when I was living back east working two jobs and bordering on a nervous breakdown. I could go to my studio, sit down, avoid the world and spend hours beading and release the tensions inside me - even just for a small amount of time.

hahaha I have seen your work many times and it makes me shudder (they are gorgeous) but because I have a hard time believing things like that are possible. It would be like me building a space shuttle by myself.

Well Jim, if you end up camping in my side yard with your RV for a few weeks after Quartzite, you can watch me bead so you can believe it because then you've seen it with your own two eyes. :headbang:

Deal. And I will show you that my rings are probably way way easier to make.

Deal.
And I will make sure to have a good supply of coffee. :headbang:

I find making and looking at beads to be amazingly calming myself.

Agreed Frank. When I lived back east if it weren't for my beads I dare say the world would be far different for me right now. Beads kept me sane just like my gardening did.
