As I was unable to go on this field trip I made sure to be very thorough in describing what to look for and give explicit directions. My buddy Keith accompanied Helene and Lithicstrings. More pictures later.

sure looks like a nice place to relax.

Nice looking country and free flowing water too!

We missed Frank being with us. For one his company and quirky humor for another he is a stone magnet. His bag is always heavier.

This is lithicstrings using lithicbeads account to add more pictures to this field trip report. The stream was not too deep for those of us in the "vertically challenged" club, as you can see from our friend only ankle deep in the river. Jasper was on the gravel bars as well as in the water, so it was heads down all day. The hike was on an old logging road, which made easy access.
We certainly would have had heavier packs had lithicbeads been our guide, but a good time was had by all regardless.

A very good time. Miss you already.
We would be packing more if Lithicbeads was with us. I think the rocks must swim to him.

He could find more rocks with one eye than our 6 eyes (3 rockhounds with 2 eyes each) altogether!
I told him we need to teach him to skype so he can remote control rockhound

Beautiful location! Looks like a lovely day out and in the water.
