Took a wire wrapping class from the rock club I belong to, now I want to wrap everything I have collected for years. This is the first wire weave that I thought successful. Too embarrassed to post the ones that were mangled beyond recognition. It is an addiction. Now I want a rock saw and cabochon machine but a little overwhelmed at the choices and cost.

Impressive! Thanks for sharing

Beautiful! I love wire weaving, too. It's time consuming, but I find it calming.

It's a lovely wrap and a beautiful stone! Thanks for sharing! Would love to take a class like that sometime.

Beautiful! I've been wanting to try a wire weave, but discovered I need to buy some smaller wire to do it. I'm inspired to get the wire now.

Gorgeous! Now you need to grab more wire and rocks and make more! :icon_sunny:

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
@mossyrockhound. I used 30ga for this piece, after trying to use 26ga and mangling everything. I have read you can use thicker gauges but I will leave that to the experts.

I use 28 gauge and 30 gauge when I weave. 26 is possible, but it work hardens quickly and becomes difficult to maneuver without extreme care.

Beautiful piece I love wire wrapping too and will post some pictures as soon as I learn how to do it. I'm very new at this and just learning how to navigate :icon_thumright:
