The Agate Expo 2016 will be held in Cedarburg, WI on July 8, 9, 10 with the symposium on Agates held on the 7th.
There will be 45 dealers and 125+ displays of the finest agates from around the world. One of the restrictions on the dealers is that at least 1/2 of what you have for sale must be silica/quartz based.
The Amethyst Rose will be at the show selling wire wrapped jewelry and doing custom wire wraps while you wait of either our stones or yours. Best Little Ore House will be selling the John T. Hurst Dryhead Agate Collection. John published the book on Dryhead agates a few years ago and has since passed away. His widow, Jeanne, will be selling the collection pictured in the book along with other agate specimens
Agates by Rock of Ages will be bringing in their extensive inventory of polished agate specimens including a very large selection of Coyamito Agates as they are now the exclusive distributor for the mine owner.
Hope some of you can stop by and say hi

Well we are off to Cederburg Wisc. for the Agate show on Sat. Will find "Amethyst Rose" and introduce myself. It will be nice to meet a fellow Forum Member. It is about a 2 hour ride from here in northern Illinois. We have gone to Cederburg a number of times because that is where "The Gem Shop" is located.

HI Bob, it was good to meet you and your wife too. I was impressed with your work and the vast inventory of cabs you carry. I hope the show was a success for you. I liked the show better than the 2008 show because everything was more centrally located. I know there are a lot of Agates in the world but seeing all the displays really brings it home. Just a couple pics, I took a lot.
These two pics. are called "Candy Dish Mexican Agates" Owner is Dave Polson.
