Title: Jadeite, Ice jadeite, colorless...
Post by: pounder2016 on June 24, 2016, 03:49:25 AM
This is jadeite in its almost pure form, no color. 1.25"x1.00"x.25" inches, 48cts. Carved on one side, polished on the other. Almost clean enough to read text thru. When I wear this pendent its almost impossible to see what is on the neckless, the material is cool to the touch as seems to be what people usually say about touching jadeite, an interresting piece of material to see-steve...

Only one thing comes to mind when seeing pieces like that. EXPENSIVE!

X2 Kurt!  Jade is such a widely varied gemstone, it can be so many colors and patterns! And such a bear to work, she is a hard mistress! LOL

Certainly is. In a bit over a week, I'm going to China and will get myself some yellow jade. Nothing big, but hope to afford enough rough for 3-4 pieces to work on.
