You guys make a piece of jewelry from one slice of stone or maybe a small hand full. Try 240 slices. It's a pain. I am starting to slide towards your side of the hobby. Gotta be a lot cheaper on the grinding wheels and discs, no solder, no copper and definitely no burnt fingers. Just I have no imagination for making a small piece of jewelry. And I don't have the fingers for it. I guess I'm saying " tiny work scares me "
I would love to learn jewelry craft. I cant afford to hire Randy to teach me. I'd be broke the first session and just so.. His work is unequalled. One of these days maybe a bunch of folks on a forum such as this might just get together and do a day of gabbing and technique swappin and then every body look out. I'll be making jewelry that resembles lamps....
I though I lost this photo. It's the only one I have and for the fact this lamp now resides in the Phila. area it would be a little hard getting another one. I found it in my little camera ( now broken ) and went to swipe the chip and there it was.
