Title: My Latest Cab/Carving
Post by: bobby1 on July 05, 2016, 11:05:46 AM
Lately I have been enjoying making more complex cabs that involve carving activities. This one is my latest one. It a Royal Aztec Lace Agate that is 3-1/2" tall. My wife says it looks like a seal sitting on a rock. I was just shaping it to remove the small fracture and pits, not to make an image.

Wow, it's lovely!  Such a great use for that material.  Outstanding workmanship and finish.

One of my favorite Agates. Have not seen this material for sale in any of the normal outlets. Got my last stash in an antique rock shop in the Nebraska
grasslands in 1985.

Really nice, would love to see what you'll do with it. The colors are very smooth. I like it!

I think yours is prettier than mine.
