Headed to Wyoming this morning to collect Blue Forest pet wood with the local rock club. Never been there I'll post pics unless I get shut out!
Good luck to me!

Be sure to take a probing rod.

Not much big wood, I did take a probe and managed to find two logs about 4" in diameter. Both were garbage! I did find some nice cab material but that's about it. Going with the rock club is a little frustrating as we didn't as we get to the collection area until 11:30 or so. Wasted 5 hours of collecting time, and I've never been there so I felt a little rushed trying to figure the lay of the area. I noticed dig sites all over with no certain pattern or area of the landscape. I'm going back for sure when I can actually spend the day collecting instead of standing around.
I was probing in the sandy area next to the drop off or wash that's there, is this the right area or should I be further back into the sage brush area? The sandy area is where I hit the two logs with the probe.
