Title: Clear thread for Bead Embroidery
Post by: TD on August 27, 2016, 12:30:04 AM
Hello,

I'm new to this site so please bear with me.
I've just started a Embroidery picture which uses seed beads all the way through. I'm wanting to use a clear thread instead of the white because it doesn't interfere with the colour of the beads. Would anyone on here know which clear thread would be best for this?

Thanks
TD

Would the right fishing line work?  It would be cheap and come in various "gauges" called test lb. for fishing line.  The smaller the test lb. the thinner the line.

I wonder if something like this would work for you:  http://www.artbeads.com/ill10cl50.html

Sorry I didn't see this post till today!
I do bead embroidery regularly.  If I am using beads that are translucent and don't want the thread to interfere with the color I use the "crystal" Fireline found here:  http://www.firemountaingems.com/shop/fireline-thread

Thank you Enchantra, I have started using this already and it works perfectly for what I need and so much easier to work with, doesn't get tangled up etc.

Thanks
