You got a great shine on that sodalite. I really like the last two, especially the epidote-garnet. Where is it from?

Thanks for the kind words. They are from the Blue Cut/Cajon Pass area in California. I am going back this weekend, hopefully I will find more to trade. i may have an extra slab or two.

Is the rock hunting any easier right now with all the vegetation burnt away? I would think a good rainstorm right now would really expose some great rocks in the area.

The area was scrub brush and yucca so it was not much of a bother. Today we got some rain so maybe we will have some clean rocks this weekend.

Challenging variety and nice to see someone try an array of unusual things.

That is the beauty of going and finding your own rocks. You are free to try whatever shape you and the rock decide on :) If it doesn't work out there are more rocks to work on.
