Hi All
As some of you might know I got an old lortone 14 in" drop saw not so long ago. With a new pump I was able to cut some slabs today. The top are from rough from Karl and the lower are from John. Thanks both of you  The obsidion that John sent me a guy at our club said that I should cut it against the grain but I did not like that. The second is with the grain and I liked that alot more. I still have more so I can try different angles.
Bless

Cool. I cut the gold sheen to try and get the most sheen out it. So cut a cab out of both slabs and see what you like the best. Looks like the saw works pretty darn good for a freeby!

Great rocks! Both grain cuts on the obsidian are nice, wildly different patterns but still quite aesthetically pleasing.
