I thought this to be white jade but the pattern when held to light doesn't look like any jade I have scene.

Looks like milky chalcedony with an internal feature that is called "turtle Back"

I agree with Bob, This looks like a high quality agate with "bubbles" or "turtleback." When I am cutting Holley or some of the other heirloom species this is always a good sign... Quality stuff.

After looking at the first pic again, I might guess a snakeskin agate. The photo is not conclusive but it could be that.
