Title: Sheep Shack slabs
Post by: Kaljaia on November 29, 2016, 01:42:14 PM
Finally got some sheep shack rough material into the saw!
I like the colors but there's more pitting than anticipated. Will need to look for more solid material before bad weather closes that road.

And petrified wood from the creek below the actual sheep shack.

Great colors, we don't see materials like this in the Midwest. Probably worth using some HXTAL.

Nice colors in all of it and that pet wood looks pretty darn nice!

Now that looks like some really pretty material there.  I agree -- some stabilizing is in order!   :icon_sunny:

Thanks all for the feedback! Who wants to try some? I am not set up to stabilize but I am in possession of flat-rate boxes.

Kaljaia, what are your terms for a box? I would like to try some as I have a casting vacuum chamber, and a empty wax injector that can add extra atmosphere pressure to the HXTAL.

I need to go get some more. Just sent one box out- if I get up there on Sunday I'll have some more material for a box. They're $5 flat rate boxes, and tell me what you think, send me something back, whatever. :)
