Title: Snow-day slabs
Post by: Kaljaia on December 14, 2016, 07:34:28 AM
I got half way into a rock before a sleet storm drove me back inside, a few days ago. The oil lines on the saw were not moving very well anyway, so I might be shelving rock work until... spring, probably. We're scheduled to get 5 - 10 inches of snow today, then very cold weather through the weekend.

About one big crack per slab and the little black circles have a crystal texture to them, but I like its color. This is more Sheep Shack, collected just before the weather closed the road. We were skidding all over the place trying to get up there. The clay soil here is worse to drive on than ice when wet.

I can attest to that. Put a little bentonite on a road and wet it down  and you do not want to be there.Good time of the year to read . Stay safe kid.
