Yep, just had to do it. I was taking Christmas presents to friends out in the Owyhee's so I had to get some rock. Snow was everywhere but I have a magic valley full of rock slides. And the rock slides are full of jasper, some of it is even really nice for cabbing. A campfire to warm my soup (and my butt). Then some nice pictures on the way out. Three very nice bucks from 2 to 3 years old was quite a surprise.
Looks like 8 degrees below zero next week, 8 above this week. The snow and ice will loosen some new jasper but no hunting for awhile. waaahhhhhh Neal
yep, cabin fever

Thanks for the pics. Looks like you had a worthwhile side trip!

Right there with ya in the snow. Today was sunshine and bare dry southern slopes, but with 4-8 inches on the north slopes and single digits for the highs... it's gonna be cold! Your slides aren't the only places stuff is dislodging. Watch for rocks on roads. Had to stop and move big rocks off HW 293 the other day just trying to get to town.
