Title: This is what I leared

This is what I learned:
1.) Pattern maker grinding sticks are a bit too aggressive
2.) Don't tumble jade
3.) Diamond hand files are the bees knees
4.) The taper edge wooden polishing heads I turned on the lathe work wonderfully on my flex shaft
5.) Diamond paste has found a spot in the studio right next to the diamond hand files
6.) I can get really lucky drilling long horizontal holes (~1/2")
7.) Reading on this forum gives me so much more to try regarding improving the finished work
8.) I'm leaning toward becoming a jade junkie

Looks lovely and the experience sounds like it is worth a fortune.

Thanks, one thing I need a bit of guidance on (speaking of lithicBEADS), since this basically is a bead, what should I be paying attention to with regard to bead drilling and the final product...besides just drilling a hole? Anything in addition to tapering the hole opening? :icon_scratch:
