The last picture of these cabs (marfa blk 1) I wanted to enter in the cab of the month but it was an intact nodule with a bump on one side and the bubbly depression in it, I could see the plume inside and just ground the back off and then shaped it to what you see. Since it wasn't slabbed and couldn't tell what I would end up with never photo's the rough lol. The 2nd cab was the same idea, I could see the plumes on the base of the nodule so just ground it down rather than slabbing.
I normally don't cut much of the "turritella" but this one just had such nice swirls.

These are all beautiful!!! I love the black plume! Are those from Marfa area?

Both of the black plume cabs were from the Singleton Ranch in Marfa. I would dare anyone to blindly pick up 10 agates there and not get a black plume in the bunch although some has so much plume it is hard to see the individual sprays.
