Trying to come up with new designs and ways to cut and carve pendants and beads. Been playing with these concave designs the last couple of days and am really really digging them. Lots of work but visually appealing to me and I think on the more translucent materials it will allow more light to pass thru the back making pieces GLOW. First piece shown is some prase I picked up last weekend. Second is a enstatite thats almost finished. And thirdly a piece of hydrogrossular garnet thats finished and around my neck currently :-) Happy cutting folks! Great job, Gergis! They look wonderful! I really like the garnet. :WEEEE:

The hard part for me was polishing the concave cuts. Although mine is more regular cuts and more angular.

Great stuff Gergis !!
I started making a ~2" curved "tooth" out of Royal Sahara Jasper rather unexpectedly. Really like the shape, pattern and was thinking it was going around my neck when I finished. Then I realized I started shaping on 6" wheels and everything down stream was 8"......still un-finished.....

Loving the compound curves! Good stuff. I really enjoy the enstatite. I was recently cutting a piece of it again from some Frank sent to me last summer.
