Post by: domdeslagons on May 17, 2017, 07:40:11 PM
A new design for my polar bear. Even better in giant clam, so it is white!

yes I confirm clam! but Giant clam. We have a lot in New Caledonia and if you are lucky you can find fosilized one! I really like to work with it and even make some jewelery. I use it often in my composed cabs too, to use the small parts.

I like the carving and nice that it is white.  I wonder how the Carvers in the great White North justify the Green Bears Lol.  Giant Clam would be a hefty how much do they weigh for a half shell?

I found one on the beach that was not even whole, and I would say around 80kg!It is the one I used for this bear!
It was also the one for this little baliste fish

Wow that pattern just looks perfect of the fish.  Nice work again.  Boy that is some heavy clam!  Just think one clam and you could make enough soup for a whole town.  Now you just need to get the giant clams to start producing grapefruit sized pearls.
