Title: May snowshoeing
Post by: lithicbeads on June 04, 2017, 05:59:04 PM
May is a great month to snowshoe around here. The basin contains Rainy lake. You can take a flat one mile paved wheel chair path to the lake starting about mid summer.Avalanches make the path unusable this time of year even with snowshoes so the trip is quite a bit longer.Fun place.

Beautiful scenery, but I have to say that I'm happy the cold is past us.  Vince and I were just picking some apricots off one of the trees.  First crop we've had since we moved in 4 years ago.  Late frosts usually kill them all.

Just an observation from an escapee from northwestern Connecticut to 100+ degree Tucson area. S--w is one of those 4 letter words that I'm not supposed to utter in mixed company.  Just remember--you don't have to shovel sunshine!
