Today I was the lucky guy who got to go to Joshua's private poppy jasper mine here in Washington. I took some photos from the ferry at dawn and drove into a storm with as much as 8 inches of rain destined for portions of our area. A very wet day made sure my camera stayed in the truck but we got lots of rough some of which I will post photos of tomorrow.

That was a good fun day my friend. Would have been much more miserable without the hot coffee and pie at the end. :) Thanks for joining me!
-
Always a pleasure even without the pie.

My son and I went hounding today also. And also, we had a great day. It was dry and beautiful out (don't know how you deal with the weather there) but my excuse is I did not take the camera. I will get pics and post them tomorrow or sometime in the future like I always do. I will race with you Frank so I will at least get it done.
Good to hear that you were able to get out and about after twisting your leg. The pie and coffee had to be a great finish. I didn't get any pie but I did manage to get a bottle of cold coffee that was pretty good along with my gas station egg rolls.

The gas station egg-rolls made me laugh. I hope they were not under the light for too many hours.
Since I had the privilege of being part of one of your outings this post makes me wish I could have joined you Frank. That is if you can stand my constant chattering.

It may be damp but it sure is beautiful! :icon_sunny:
I spent a couple hours of my day watching two guys with a small tractor re-grade our property to rid it as organically as possible of obnoxious weeds. (No chemicals were used) Our desert land went from dull lifeless soil to waist high weeds in about a month after three successive rain storms. Now to just get our raised beds put in out back, the low lying area near the raised beds seeded with white clover, and get the front landscaped. Yeah it's going to be a busy fall/winter/Spring here. I'm waiting to get a hold of the contractor to get an update on the permitting process with Maricopa county for our block wall fence we are having put in.

Looks like the snow is making it's way down the mountains:( I saw my first snow of the season in the mountains above where I was too.
-
The snow was not far above us yesterday. Time to get set for winter.
-
It tried to snow here yesterday and today it sure feels like it could and at anytime to .
