Title: serpentine whales

I was given some carrots of serpentine coming from nickel mines and as it is whales'season!

Cool, how big are they. The whole tail is cool too. What is it carved out of?

Those proportions in the first picture look like two of the orca whales around here coming out of the water. Nice. Do you see many whales and what type . We have greys  ,orcas and minkes where I live.

The big one is around 15cm long.I don't really know what species they could be( :LOLOL: Serpentine is not the best to make details!
The little tail is carve out of a trochus shell
In New Caledonia we have Humpback whales coming in the lagoon for reproduction. They come around July and would leave in September.
It is quite easy to see them but it is strictly forbidden to go near them or to swim with them.

Our orca whales are very powerful  and fast. They eat other whales and marine mammals as well as fish. Viewed from the front  your pieces convey that power.
