Title: Royal Sahara Jasper pendant
Post by: kent on August 07, 2017, 05:57:26 AM
I started this one many months ago beginning with my 6" diamond wheels. I've got 80, 200 and 600 grits. After that I realized everything downstream was 8" diameter so I set the piece aside thinking some day I would get a few more 6" wheels. The piece started talking to me yesterday so I finished it wet sanding by hand sitting on a low stool in front of a bucket of water under a shade tree on a beautiful Napa day with a beer by my side. Just takes patience...

Superb use of shape to pattern.  It makes a nice jasper very special.

Very nice. That rough has had it's problems with brittleness and soft spots but when a piece is nice to the cutter it is beautiful.
