Could possibly be Bumblebee -- it looks a little like it -- but the hardness and super polish make me think it's something else. All the Bumblebee I've cut is fairly soft (it's not really a jasper) and it hasn't taken a high polish. There may be types that are highly silicated but I haven't seen any. It looks more like some sort of jasp-agate to me.

It's not any Bumble Bee as yet marketed. Obviously it is agate and B.B. is not agatized. It reminds me of the colors in some Arizona petrified woods.

That would be amazing! A pet wood that resembles BB, with more colors and harder. A rockhounders dream!!!! Ok guess you've realized I'm a BB jasper fan. Only question that remains important: where did you find it?

Of unknown origin....perhaps from a stash of rocks I received from the son of a retired geologist who roamed the world collecting rocks.

A friend had B.B. tested and it came back positive for both realgar and arsenic. Mercury and arsenic are not a good combination for cutters.

I love the clean look of the face with the side drilling. I think its more technical todo side drilling as opposed to face drilled. I think there is less room for error. In my opinion. Great colors! And as I said on Instagram I think it's an onyx. Possibly from Mexico? Beautifully executed on gorgeous material.

the banding in the material is sedimentation.
Bubble bee is geothermal vent casing.

Looks alot like Rainbow Ridge material from the China Lake area of CA. Claim is held under the China Lake club I think and they used to allow collecting if you contacted them for for permission. Always hard to say as it could quite possibly be similar material from a site I don't know. That's the great thing about the forum so many people who know the material from their area and someone else here might have a better answer. Doesn't look like bumble bee to me though.
