Greetings Rockers,
I just bought a new/unused Foredom BL-15 Bench lathe kit for $40.
Does anybody have any experience with these?
Are they worth owning or should I be looking to trade it off?
Thanks
Glen

I don't have one but they look like cool little machine. What all did you get with it? They are good for doing jewelry, ect.
They are used for buffing and polishing and they have a flex shaft attachment. New they start at around $185.00 and go up from there with accessories. If you don't have a use for it I would be interested. You could put it up sale or trade and take the best deal.

Glen, Did you sell the lathe?

No, I still have it. I put one of the 3" pads on it with a little rouge, just to play a little. It seems to work ok. This tool just has the lathe and a package of 3" cotton pads and a 2" felt pad. It has tapered spindles that the pads quickly attach to. It's kind of cool.

Foredom is top of the line equipment. If you buff a lot of metal jewelry pieces, it's well wort keeping. They don't take up a lot of space, so are easy to store for future use.

i would love to find a little horizontal lathe type thing that accepts sintered bits and other grinding foredom bits to have a stationary grinding point for fire agates and carving
