This is the latest rough I cut from my rhodonite find about 2 years back, appears to be breciated, so many colors.

Lots of spessartite garnet in that specimen -- the orangy-yellow. Nice.

I started a cab of very similar rough from Washington state today. I like the garnet in it so much that I am disappointed when I cut a nodule without it. Great rough.

Thanks for the great feedback, I enjoy the rockhounding as much as the lapidary, rock ology interests me heaps, my rhodonite also contains alleghanyite and pyroxmangite ,
