Title: Started making picks from Australian Ribbonstone
Post by: ILMSteve on January 29, 2018, 06:39:54 AM
Thanks to Sapphireminer, I received some nice slabs of Australian Ribbonstone. He travels a great distance to find these so I am privileged to be able to work these into guitar picks.

He did most of the work for me, cutting them to thin slabs! I looked at both sides of each slab and decided how to best feature the best of each slab

Nice work! Those are beautiful. Maybe going to have to try to make one for my brother in law who heads up a group of musicians...

Very creative using a similar pattern as that wavy plastic but going with a unique stone and deft rock hewing skills to fill the need.  That is what I most like about lapidary, the possibilities are almost endless.
