Hi all...
I've been using Yahoo mail for many many years. but about 6 or so months ago, Yahoo decided to stop allowing Mozilla browser access to email accounts. They allow Firefox, which is the Mozilla engone, but they can't seem to get it thru their mindset that the two are the same. Today, they started giving me the same run around with Firefox that they did with Mozilla.
I looked at Gmail, but don't like some of their invasive policies. SO... am looking for a free online email provider, works thru a desktop (no cell phone) and is rock solid, reliable and not overly invasive.
Any suggestions? What do you guys use?
Oh.. can't use my internet provider, they're worst of all! Century-link.
Thanks!
Phil

I have two old university e-mails, an old hotmail, an old yahoo and a few gmail accounts all daisy-chained into one gmail. They do use targeted advertising but I would rather they advertise art stuff and local travel opportunities at me than tacky bikini sidebar ads. I use their docs, sheets, surveys and photo hosting a ton too for a lot of different projects and for free accessible backup, but I'm not working with sensitive data or personally identifying info so their datamining isn't as much a concern for me. I can understand it being a big red flag for other business use though.

Thanks. tried that too. didn't work. I think Yahoo is trying to shut down.
