Wife and I are hoping to make it down to Idaho through Montana in July and are looking for some easy sites to collect from other than Tony's lol, which we are hoping to get down to. Appreciate any and all suggestions

East of Challis, there is some agate on accessible BLM lands. And the bonus is you can stop at the Challis Hot Springs for a soak and pleasant evening's rest. Life does not get any better.

If you want Star garnets, you might want to consider Emerald Creek (https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/ipnf/recarea/?recid=6927) on the west side.
