Post by: denverkris on September 18, 2018, 12:57:44 PM
What do you guys think of this photo? Only took me about 200 tries to get one this decent. :/

Are you using a light box? Looks good to me even tho I’m not a fan of other things in the photo or backdrop stones. The stone could be a slight lighter in my opinion.

I am using a light box. I saw a couple other ideas for getting the stone up (floating if you will), I may try those. I didn't think it looked that great with the stone just lying on the bottom of the light box. Out of 100 pics I thought this was the best, but I'll try a few more things.

Pic looks good but i know very little about taking pictures...just another thing to become proficient at...just had a look at light boxes, cheers...200 tries i know the feeling and finally, Larsonite (Gary Green) lovely stone first pics that caught my attention on the old site here...we don't have anything petrified over here in Jockland apart from the sheep in Aberdeen  :coffee1:

Thanks. Imo getting a good pic is infinitely harder than cutting the stone. But then again I don't feel like I'm all that great at either yet :p
