Title: What/where is this from?

I was told the green veins were turquoise. Does anybody know where this type of turquoise comes from?

I don't know turquoise very well, can't say.

First thing I thought of when I saw the photo was Colla Wood.

Could be turquoise in limonite (mix of iron oxides and hydroxides). Hard to say if it is really turquoise just from the pic. If it is then it is likely from here in Nevada. Nevada has the most turquoise mines anywhere and our turquoise is often in shades of green due to the higher iron content replacing some of the aluminum.
