OK, holidays are over, still have not gone any further on the Snowflake with James coral, but finally getting close to the end of the tunnel with One piece of Fire Agate.

Take one, make two. :) :) :)
6 x 4 cm in size, Negrita mine.

Still needs general clean-up and deepening for proper setting of sapphire.

Then its on to the back of it. There is a nice surface, so I'm planing to carve something there to make it a reversible pendant.
Now its also time to reveal the second piece coming out of this piece of rough. 7 x 5 cm and in places the curvature spans up to an inch deep.

Thats the colour you get at any given time (here out-doors on overcast sky). If it is hit by any other light, all the colours within light up pending on strength and angle. Here is a hint of whats hiding (in water under the sun).

Tomorrow, will have a third piece to add with the brightest green I have ever worked thus far.
Best regards, Kurt

Kurt what I find so amazing about your work is you take the natural shape hiding within the stone and you turn it into what you see in that shape. You bring out the soul of the stone.

Thank you, but started with the rough in mid November and still not really finished. I feel colour and shine can still be improved on. :icon_sunny: This time thingy is slowly getting out of hand. I still remember when a week seemed incredibly long to finish something. Now a month is nothing, and two seem just about right.
Amanda, The loop came into being because I could not find any colour, and with that, at hand, the shape was pretty obvious to me for a long time. The problem where those two lumps. They contain some of the strongest colours in this piece, and I was not going to discard them. Luckily, the don't disturb too much anymore now.

No real update, other than that I had been wearing both over the week, and even the snake wears well despite the huge curvature.
