Title: After a few years not working in metal, I finally got to play :)
Post by: Helene Fielder on July 04, 2020, 07:40:53 PM
After a long break from cutting stone its been slow to get a good cut and polish on this latest piece. The main stone I found in Mississippi, or my back yard. Accent beads were carved from black jade from Australia, carnelian and gem silica from Arizona

Great piece of work. Did you use metal clay?

I used sheet metal to construct the silver components.

Very nice work! Beatiful gem silica and I haven't seen Mississippi peanut brickle in a long time!

Finally fought off the chiggers long enough to say hi eh? Hope you have been well. Very interesting color mix and the horizontal format works well for you.

Chiggers and Ticks :) and Mississippi stones.
Lost my tough in taking photographs, I forgot how hard it is to get metal and stone to photograph well. :(
