Finally decided what to do with the tri-color tiger's eye. [ You are not allowed to view attachments ] . Now to decide how to set it. It's about 40 x 32. Shape and size were chosen to eliminate waste as well as be esthetically pleasing, but harder to design a good setting. Can always go with a plain one of course.

It's beautiful Felicia. Too bad you don't have 2 of them. Would make awesome earrings!

One of my earliest non-opal cabs was cut from that type of rough. I really was fascinated by the colors, and I really like yours.
At that size it would make a great focal for a necklace. Maybe that would give you a few more design options... .

Thanks, I do plan to use it for a pendant since it's rather large. I'm trying to come up with something really clever, though. Oh, well, maybe inspiration will strike.

Yeah, the size and orientation is what made me imagine anchoring it toward both ends instead of a single bail at the top.

That's a good way to balance it, but I can just put 2 loops on and use a chain I made to use with a larger malachite, and clip onto both sides. Doesn't have to be a narrow loop or bail. Trying to think of a cool design that will take care of everything. Possibly a second stone. Or ???0
