Title: What you see isn't always what you end up with
Post by: amrap1 on November 23, 2020, 08:11:48 PM
Rock had so much potential. Being new I wasn't sure how to attack it. The best view was top (face) to bottom an was the thickest. A lot of waste at that bottom, so I attached it first. Got it to a better shape but still had dips on the sides. Grinding away at the sides, I got the face too high. But I saw more potential with the bullseye or eyeball on the face. I worked on the face and brought out more lines...didn't notice that I was losing the face......

A lot of waste material, dips along the edges and bringing out nicer rings on the face....

By the time I got it in the right shape I lost the bright eye......So much potential.

It’s still interesting looking with all the bands.
