Planning a trip to some of the ruby/sapphire mines in and around Franklin North Carolina. Started doing a little research and found several. Mason's, Cherokee, Sheffield and Rose Creek to name a few. I'm looking for recommendations and warnings about them. I've been to Hidden Emerald Mine which is nearby and may include a return trip there too.
