Title: Unknown material ID request

I have two spheres finished up from cubed rough I found in a rockhound's yard that I still do not know much about.  Photos attached of both, which feature a brownish purple matrix swirling around trapping some smallish geode type chalcedony/agates within.  Looks like some of the stuff we might bump into at the South Cady's, any more refined ideas out there, or perhaps an actual name to this interesting material?  Your thoughts, as always, are appreciated!
