The person I bought these from at Quartzite didn't have everything labeled. So I sadly am a bit perplexed on a few of these. They were very busy so I didn't get a chance to ask what the stones were.
Image one is a cab I think is variscite????
The next one is either a green opalite or perhaps Chrysoprase? Anyone have a clue?
A mottled jasper of some kind is #3.
Then two cabs which look more red than they are in the photo, smallest one looks like bruneau to me, larger one I know is a Jasper but not sure which one? Then there is the druzy as well, any ideas which mineral that is?
Thanks!

Very Pretty and I cant wait to see what creations you will place them in:) I know you are already thinking:)

Hrm. Any ideas on this stuff?
Sara: I was thinking of using the two oval Jasper cabs that look similar in composition and putting them together in a necklace.

that third one down really looks like the oregon breciated stuff i got in an estate sale.
From tillamook bay area NW Oregon.

The 1st one appears to be Lucin varisite

Oh thanks to Palmwood I am just now seeing this thread!
I think the first 2 look like Variscite. Is the last one dyed? Really hard to tell from these pics.

LOLOLOL You should have seen her at the show- she was like a kid in a candy store!

The dark Druzy looks similar to some petrified wood found in Alabama.

Oh and like you were any better? :LOLOL:
Hey I see beads and cabs and I'm going to be all over that stuff! :icon_sunny:
The pictures above actually aren't great. None of the stones are dyed, but the one picture really makes those stones look red when they aren't.

I agree with MrsMTownsend #1 and #2 definitely Varisite #1is Lucin Varisite and # 2 is Nevada Varisite They are close by each other in the NorthWest corner of Utah Lucin mine and the Nevada mine just inside of Nevada. I can't remember the name of the mine in Nevada but i have material that looks just like #2. Hope that helps.
